Viva Together in Sardinia

Gathering together in Sardinia for Amway Founders Council 2026

Last month, Francesca and I gathered with leaders from around the world for Amway’s Founders Council 2026 and I found myself reflecting on how special this community of people truly is.

Sardinia has a way of reminding me what matters most. And this year’s theme, Viva Together, felt very fitting and meaningful to me.

During the week, I shared meals, stories, laughter, ideas, and hopes for the future with leaders from around the world. Some of our conversations happened during the Business Meeting. Others happened over breakfast, and even while watching Francesca play in a pickleball match!

We don’t have a photo of Francesca on the pickleball court, but here are some of our FC members playing a game. What fun!

What encouraged me most were the deep generational connections. Leaders attending their first Founders Council stood alongside leaders who have dedicated decades of their lives to this business. Second-generation leaders are beginning to carry the vision forward with new energy and ideas, and the spirit remains the same: A belief in people, a willingness to serve others, and a commitment to building something meaningful that lasts far beyond us.

This gives me tremendous hope for what lies ahead!

Rooted in Wellness

Sardinia was so refreshing; just being there was inspiring to me!

Sardinia is known as one of the world’s original Blue Zones—a place where people tend to live long, healthy, connected lives. It is a place where wellness is not viewed as a trend, but as a way of life rooted in community, movement, and purpose. I thought about how Sardinian lifestyles align with the beliefs and vision of my father, Nutrilite founder Carl Rehnborg, along with Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel. They believed from the beginning in helping people live better lives through nutrition, lifestyle, and care for one another.

Wellness is also rooted in science, and as science continues to evolve, our business continues to evolve with it. Throughout the week, we heard insightful conversations about healthspan, gut health, phytonutrients, cellular health, and the future of wellbeing. Alongside all these innovations is the timeless belief that health and wellbeing is one of the greatest gifts we can help bring to people around the world.

That’s what the Nutrilite™ brand is about, and it’s a mission that feels just as important today as it ever has.

Connecting with Experts

We learned from health and wellbeing experts we connected with during the week in Sardinia as well. Dr. Emily Ho from the Linus Pauling Institute and Dr. Yosep Ji of HEM Pharma reinforced how much more there is to understand about the relationship between nutrition, the microbiome, and wellness.

Francesca and I enjoyed our time with Chef Ming Tsai, our new Amway Cookware Global Ambassador.

During the Expert Connection sessions, leaders had the opportunity to engage with Amway’s newest Global Ambassador for Cookware, world-class culinary expert Chef Ming Tsai. I appreciated the way Chef Ming spoke about food not only as nourishment, but as something that brings people together. His belief that healthy living begins with simple habits, shared meals, and moments of connection around the table fit right into the spirit of Viva Together.

Feeling Grateful

Cheers!

As we closed the week together, I found myself feeling deeply grateful.

Grateful for the friendships built over many years.

Grateful for the leadership and passion of people around the world.

And, grateful for the belief that together, we can continue building something meaningful for future generations.

The future will not be built by any one individual alone. It will be built together. And after spending the week at Founders Council, I truly believe the future is bright.

Talk to you soon!

Dr. Sam

Health & Wellbeing

Product of the product

Personal wellbeing isn’t just about you or me. It’s about the people around us, our family, friends and the greater community. Taking care of yourself, nurturing your connection with nature, and making an effort to transform challenges into opportunities, will help lead us to a future where we can all happily coexist.

Dr. Sam's Journey

The pursuit of wellness

Wellness has always been central to my story. When my father, Carl F. Rehnborg, founded Nutrilite in 1934, his goal was to help people everywhere take responsibility for their health, their wealth, and the planet. Even then, he knew that all these things were interconnected. His vision shaped my own path—a journey grounded in curiosity, science, and a passion for helping others live well.

Amway & Nutrilite

A shared vision

Nutrilite is so much more than a plant-based supplement brand – it is a way of life that has stood the test of time. With a passion centered on health + wellbeing, Amway is the world’s largest direct selling company*. It spans six continents with a presence in 100+ countries and territories.

Farming

Farming for the future

There’s a long history of farming innovation at Nutrilite. It started when my father, Carl F. Rehnborg, began growing alfalfa in the 1930s before we even knew to call it organic. He was looking for the purest, most nutritious botanicals, and he already knew that they needed to be grown sustainably and naturally, without any synthetic fertilizers or chemicals. That same belief continues to guide us today.
